Last month, New Orleans band Caddywhompus returned, and now we have another jagged new track - the second to come from their upcoming new album Odd Hours, out 14 April on Inflated Records, 'Splinter' sees them circling into the chaotic. What starts gently gradually descends into the more disjointed, as riffs and racket collide beneath the brittle vocals of frontman Chris Rehm. Somewhere between post-rock and art-pop, theirs is a unique blend that cares not to be defined. Let the chaos reign freely seems to be the motto of this band. - SJ
